Vision:

The PURPOSE of Blizzard is for the Spiritual Growth of our teens. This means we gear it to feed the believing students and challenge them in their fellowship with God. Each year the Lord brings and saves a number of lost teens too, so don't feel locked in to only bringing those you know are saved! Let the Lord work!  The focus ot the weekend is to build up your students in the Lord. We provide a great speaker to challenge the hearts and minds of your students. It has been great to see the Lord work over the last few years at the retreat.

STRATEGY:
While we do provide a speaker, we firmly believe that the best learning time is the small groups that talk throughout weekend. After every session, we provide some discussion questions to challenge your students with. Come prepared to interact with your students on real issues that are facing them.

Vision:

The PURPOSE of SnoCamp is for the Spiritual Growth of our teens. This means we gear it to feed the believing students and challenge them in their fellowship with God. Each year the Lord brings and saves a number of lost teens too, so don't feel locked in to only bringing those you know are saved! Let the Lord work! The SnoCamp special guest and production team are working hard to really connect our theme for this year in every way possible.

The THEME of SnoCamp is "Embraced".  God describes us as his sons and daughters!  We are adopted into his family because he embraced us with his love.   This weekend retreat is designed to challenge us to re-think who we say Jesus is. Time and time again Jesus' closest followers and friends were faced with the need to rethink their understanding of Jesus. Time and time again, their idea of Jesus fell short of the truth of Who He really is. Get ready for a journey through Mark's gospel that reshapes the way we think about Jesus Christ! Please begin praying for the Lord to work in our students as we are challenged to answer this pivotal question!

We are excited to have Mike Severe with us as our retreat speaker.    Mike is on the faculty of Taylor University as Assistant Professor of Christian Education and has many years of student ministry experience under his belt.  He is also a veteran of Senior High SnoCamp, having brought students and serving as SnoCamp director for many years.  Mike and his wife, Leann will be with us all weekend along with their daughter, Hope.

Nate Miller and a worship team from the Dekalb - Sycamore area will be leading us in worship this year. Nate has been a part of SnoCamp in the past as a youth leader with First Baptist Church of Sycamore. We are looking forward to having him lead us as we worship the Lord together.
